I have been a professional photographer since 1988.

After doing a one year full-time course in photography in 1987 I started a partnership with a photographer friend called Say Cheese Photographics where I learned the basics of my profession.

And yes it was all film back then.

Several years later we amicably parted ways and I continued as Jim Kellam Photography throughout most of the 90s and with the rise of desktop publishing I also taught myself graphic design & web design.

With the coming of the digital age of photography in 2000 I decided to re-brand my business and after thinking long & hard about what constituted a catchy name I decided that what I in fact do is to be creative - so I changed my business name to Creative Jim Multimedia.

Among other things I freelanced for Scope Features (a Sydney photo agency) for almost a decade photographing The Logies, numerous AFI Awards, film premieres, celebrities in the Birdcage at The Spring Racing Carnvial at Flemington, Fashion Week and other PR events.

I also covered the Australian Tennis Open for a Swiss photo agency during the same period when first Martina Hingis and then Roger Federer dominated the tennis world (although Roger is still doing a good job!).

In addition to my main work listed here I have also been a professional trivia host for 14 years.

Always a trivia fan I discovered that writing quizzes is in fact another outlet for me to be be creative (and get paid for it).
